KREG Information Systems reached out to Website Republic, because we successfully delivered a WP site for one of their top staff in the past. We found a good time to talk, and discussed requirements for a new site, what worked with the old site and what could be better. We also discussed the necessity of having a responsive or a mobile site. These discussions lead to discovery, which in turn lead to a proposed solution.
We suggested moving off their current hosted WP platform, as it turned out to be too limited for what the discovery showed was need. Instead we suggested buying hosting, and seriously consider moving off the WP (WordPress) platform too. As it turned out, the hosted WP solution made it impossible to transfer the content from the existing site – thus cleaning the slate for deciding what would be the best website CMS (Content Management Software) platform for KREG Information Systems.
The solution was Joomla. The new website was build using Joomla 3.x. We ended up transferring 80% of the old website and delivering a modern, solid and flexible website that fully serves KREG’s need for seminar sign-ups, frequent latest news blog posts, product and services details and product update downloads.
